Jones calls the shots

New Dock Stars 29 Pembroke 5 INJURY hit Pembroke slipped to their eighth defeat of the season when they travelled to New Dock Stars.

Ossie Boswell's Scarlets were further disrupted when they also lost prop James Walters, who was taken to hospital with a nasty ankle injury and Nicky James was forced off with a leg injury.

Stars' fly half Clark Jones called the shots as he grabbed 19 of his side's points, scoring a try, four penalties and a conversion.

The visitors were trailing 19-0 at the interval and there was no way back. Jones kicked three penalties and full back Gareth Lee and lock Lee Williams both crossed for tries.

After the break Jones was successful with his fourth penalty.

The visitors finally got on the score sheet when prop Richard Mason crashed over for an unconverted try.

However, the Stars' had the final say when fly half Phil Williams' kick was charged down and in-form Jones followed up to touch down and convert.
