Herbrandston 1 Goodwick Utd 0 HERBRANDSTON picked up three vital points to put an end to a worrying run of form.
Herbie have been slipping dangerously towards the relegation places in recent weeks so AJ Galdo's winner came just at the right time.
Goodwick arrived with just 11 players and barely offered any threat to Martin Langdon's goal all afternoon.
Herbie had the better of the few chances in an easily forgettable first-half but Goodwick keeper Carl Woodhouse remained unbeaten going into the second period.
But the home side did make the breakthrough 10 minutes after half-time. Mike Turpin swung a dangerous free-kick toward Woodhouse's goal and Galdo managed to fire in after a rebound fell into his path.
That turned out to be the winner and Herbrandston picked up three crucial points.
Herbie remain one place clear of the relegation places and sit five points ahead of Pennar Robins.
But the south-county side have two games in hand and it could still be a difficult end to the season for Batty's side.
