Mark joined the 180-strong PDS marathon team and completed the course in four hours 20 minutes, raising about £400 in sponsorship to help the charity continue supporting people living with Parkinson's and to fund essential research.

Also running the marathon was David Griffiths, of Croft Avenue, Hakin. David was raising money for the Multiple Sclerosis Hope Cente in Honeyborough and completed the course in three hours, 54 minutes.

David was sponsored by Svitzer Marine, local darts teams, the staff of Friday Ad along with other people and organisations.
