Super Six. Milford's Super Six team travelled away to Tenby last week, and came home with an exceptional result, a 3.5 to 2.5 victory. Unfortunately, the following day, Friday 13 June, Milford Tigers lost heavily away by six matches to one to a very strong South Pembs side in the Dyfed League foursomes knock out.

The only winning pair was the on-form Ivor Mackenzie, and last year's captain Andrew Smith, who ran out comfortable winners.

Milford Haven Golf Club wish South Pembs the very best of luck in the semi final of this inaugural event.

On Saturday, Milford's Mail on Sunday team defeated the visiting Grove Club by 2.5 matches to 1.5 matches, to progress towards the later stages of this national event.

Seniors. Milford seniors played host to Glynn Abbey on Tuesday of last week, enjoying a fine win of seven games to two.

George James is half way through his captaincy, and seems to have the knack of picking winning teams.

Two day later, he again picked a victorious team who defeated Don Twigg and his Haverfordwest seniors. Milford won six games to two, with four games halved.

Today, Thursday, the seniors will compete in a medal for the J and B Putter.

Ladies. Jackie Skelhorn's run of wins continues. Jackie carded a nett 68 on Sunday, to win the LGU medal, Rookery Nook, and ball competition. Her handicap was chopped to 22. Dot Griffiths was runner up. Ivy Jenkins was the recent ladies' day winner.
